It’s hard to check your email or walk through the campus lately without someone bringing up AI. We’ve moved past the initial shock of “What is ChatGPT?” and into a much trickier phase: trying to figure out how it actually fits into a university without things becoming unmanageable.
The reality is that while some people are already using these tools every day, others are understandably hesitant. This gap creates a problem. If we don’t have a shared understanding of how to use AI responsibly, we end up with a patchwork of rules that confuse students and leave staff feeling unsupported.
Tuesday, April 14, 2 PM (GST), we’re hosting a free webinar to talk about a better way forward. titled: Applying a Framework for Institutional AI Literacy Development.
What’s on the Agenda?
Here’s what we’ll get into:
- The growing role of AI in higher education and its impact on teaching, research, and operations
- The importance of institutional AI literacy for responsible and effective AI adoption
- Overview of a proven AI literacy framework and how it can be applied in practice
- Strategies for developing AI guidelines, policies, and governance structures
- How to empower academic staff and researchers as AI collaborators and leaders
- Best practices for implementing a sustainable, institution-wide AI literacy strategy
- Enhancing innovation, accountability, and efficiency through structured AI adoption
The goal is to make sure that when everyone uses AI in education, they’re doing it with a solid foundation of knowledge and accountability.
